The Brunel Team Lanzarote

On the following 4th of October the exciting Volvo Ocean Race will begin. The Brunel Team Lanzarote «Sailing Holland Team Brunel» has tended to choose their base training in Marina Rubicon – Lanzarote like the girls of SCA who share this island, although they moor their boat in Puerto Calero, just a few miles NE. This particularly hard race starts crossing the Atlantic always trough east direction.

1st Beam : Alicante – Cape Town – Abu Dhabi – Sanya

2nd Beam: Sanya – Auckland – Itajaí – Newport

3rd Beam: Newport – Lisbon – Lorient – (The Hague pit-stop) – Gothenburg

Lanzarote is an old acquaintance for members of the Brunel Team and they appreciate not only its pleasant climate, but also being an ideal place for its wind regime and have become an ideal setting for practicing many outdoor sports. If we add its excellent nautical infrastructure and air links, it is clear that they are not wrong.

Upon the arrival of Team Brunel, they were greeted with a warm welcome by the Bar One, required for all seafarers who arrive here, and they could enjoy a great paella in the new home of this team.
