«El Río»: swimming across Lanzarote

The next 28th of September, at 13: 30h, will be held the traditional swim across the river between Bajo  Risco beach on the island of Lanzarote. On the other side, Caleta del Sebo in La Graciosa, the island of serenity. It is called «El Río».

The whole event takes place from La Graciosa. Moving participants to the beach of Bajo Risco on the island of Lanzarote to swim a distance of approximately 2,600 meters. The limit time of arrival is set 1 hour after the first participant entry.

We’ve already talked on other occasions in our guide to this charming place that leaves no one indifferent. The passage between the two islands actually resembles a river channel. It is also usually quite windy, but not sea movement. We hope that the day of the event, the seasoned swimmers find a fantastic canary weather.
