One-Way Ibiza – Lanzarote in October 2015

Each year, after the summer season, hundreds of sailboats leave from Europe bound for the Canary Islands with the intention of crossing the Atlantic.

This year, the traditional pilgrimage will be joined by a modern a fleet of 15 boats that won’t be crossing the Atlantic but do plan to spend the winter in Lanzarote.

Thanks to this, guests visiting us or staying at our villas or hotels in Lanzarote will have access to even more modern boats to enjoy the sea from this corner of the Atlantic.

Check out this MODERN fleet!. We still have three monohull sailboats and two catamarans available to fulfil a dream of many sailors: to cross Spanish waters by sailing from Ibiza to Lanzarote.

• Cartagena – Almería: 100 miles
• Almería – Málaga: 100 miles
• Malaga – Ceuta: 65 miles
• Ceuta – Lanzarote ……… 570 miles

 Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar… Do you remember the charts you used in your day skipper exams? It’s no coincidence that this area is used for nautical training, as it has absolutely everything: currents, tides, strong winds from west and east, calms, mists, the famous internal waves, the possibility of whale watching, and huge amounts of maritime traffic. Could you possibly ask for more?

You can enjoy this unique experience as part of the flotilla-type regatta that we’re organising. Fifteen boats setting sail from Ibiza on course to Lanzarote and touring much of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline. Adventure and fun are guaranteed!
