The J80 Class
J80 is the name of the racing yachts 8 meters belonging to the shipyard J/Boats (the same shipyard that released in 1976 the famous J/24).
The Fast, Stable & Easy to Sail One-Design
This is how the motto of this vessel pops on the website of the shipyard. Indeed, anyone who has had the opportunity to sail with one of them must have felt it. Easy, stable, safe and fun I might add.
After a time sailing major cruise ships, one takes a J80 cane and feels again the wind coming from the knob of the mast to the bottom of the keel and rudder. It’s clear the great and internationally acceptance that this small but great 8 meters sailing has had.
