Lanzarote Volcano Triathlon last weekend was held at its Thirtieth Edition
Romain Guillaume of Pro Triathlon Team uPlace -BMC has won this demanding Olympic event , with a time of 1:58:15 second place it has occupied Jammaer Bert and the third canary Rayco Marrero. It is the fifth victory of the season for this athlete.
After a fourth place in the swim test , Romain made his podium after 5k on the bike. I had to go earned their advantage almost two minutes ahead of the T2. Romain finished with a strong run for the win .
Although today’s race was part of his preparation for his main objective , Ironman Lanzarote on May 17 , Romain was happy with his win : «This is a confidence booster just finished a two-week block . , with 5 hours of training a day . So I was not sure how I would feel , especially since I just started working with Yves Cordier . I have it focused more on training volume , which is a change for me . but I felt good all day . yet I have work to do, but this is definitely a good training run . course , now thinking about the next Ironman Lanzarote . »
In the women, «Triumph of Salette Castro, with solvency showing his bench to Ironman Lanzarote. In second place came over 4 m Belgian Debbie Vertraeten while third at 6 m Carrit entered the British .»
This test consisted of 1.5 miles of swimming, 40 km cycling , and finally 10 miles of running.
