Lanzarote Wine Run 2014

On Sunday June the 15th,  a new edition of the Lanzarote Wine Run will be celebrated.

Modalities

There are 3 modalities to participate in this interesting race trough the land of volcanoes and wine:

1.Walk of about 10 kilometers. Exiting 10:30 am local time.
2.Short race with the same path. The starting time will be the same time as before.
3.Long race, from 23 kilometers long and over 300 expected participants will take the first exit at 09:00 am local time.

With more than 1,350 registered participants, this test also has a noble mission: contribute with part of the proceeds to the project «Save the Geria» as protected natural area.

The route 

The path starts in La Geria winery. It travels and runs up to 5 locations: San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tias, Yaiza and Tinajo.

Prize

The winner of the competition will get its own weight in D.O. Lanzarote wine.

During the event, the «Traditional Cuisine Festival» will be held. It is ann event dedicated to different products. This year the star is the sweet potato and potato. There will be more than 11 participating restaurants, 5 Bodegas 5 cheese shops, and five sweet kitchen facilities.
